Heat is set in the beautiful ancient city of Salisbury in the south west of England. When RJ and Chris Quinton first starting talking about writing together it was inevitable the books would a) be set in England, and b) that they would be set in Salisbury as it is a city they both love.
Add in a third generation chef with his world crumbling around him, and an American who comes over to decided his future and you have the making of a dramatic story. Then when you add in arson... things get hot.
